Scenic Route to Bed — Oversized Tee

An oversized tee design for a journey that should have taken about twelve steps. A narrow blue rug loops around an empty rust-red bed, carrying one person with a glass of water in entirely the wrong direction. The bed is close enough to be mildly offended. It has made all the usual arrangements: a place to lie down, a pillow, absolutely no requirement to become more interesting before arriving.

You are going to bed. You have been going to bed for some time. The trip has included checking a window, remembering a message, and deciding that a shelf might look better somewhere else. Each task appears small enough to fit on the way, although the way has begun to resemble a modest walking holiday.

The rug gives this very local expedition a generous bend. There is room for one more unnecessary stop. There usually is.
