One Toothbrush Ahead — Long-Sleeve Tee

Two toothbrushes have become apartment towers in this pale-blue long-sleeve tee design. Their handles have little lit windows, their bristles are rooftop gardens, and a narrow bridge connects them above an ordinary bathroom cup. Two tiny people have arrived at opposite ends of the bridge carrying overnight bags. Neither remembers approving quite this much architecture.

It began as a practical suggestion. You could leave a toothbrush here. That would save remembering one, and remembering things is tiring. A few evenings later, the bathroom has started to look like somewhere you might keep a second opinion about towels. You have not discussed the future, but a small plastic resident appears to be settling in.

The cup holds the whole proposal without ceremony. No grand entrance, no speeches, just two separate things leaning into the same bit of everyday life. Someone should probably rinse the sink before this becomes a neighborhood.
