Good and Filthy — Fitted Tee

You have a weakness for a dirty laugh. The proper kind, where someone begins with an ordinary sentence and you can hear, just before they finish, exactly how much trouble they intend to make with it. You try to keep your expression sensible. This is mainly to give them something to enjoy defeating. They finish. Oh, that is filthy. You would like another one immediately.

The fitted tee was an excellent choice. So were the trousers. You liked the neckline when you were getting ready, and you like the way the whole outfit looks in the dark window behind them. It is pleasant to have made a few good decisions before beginning a conversation in which neither person intends to behave particularly well. Nothing elaborate is required. Good company, direct interest, and somebody who knows that a pause can be funnier than an additional explanation.

A friend asks what you're laughing at. This creates a practical difficulty. The joke was partly the sentence, partly the delivery, and substantially the person saying it from that particular distance. Repeating it now would be like describing a very good kiss to a committee: technically possible, unlikely to improve anyone's evening. You offer the harmless first half. Your friend looks at the two of you and decides she has enough information.

They lean closer to add something. You already know you shouldn't encourage this. Unfortunately, your entire face has begun doing so.
